Powerful cast of the hammer throw competition
During the Memorial of Czesław Cybulski, Poznan fans will see competition in our Patron's beloved hammer throw. We will see two Polish champions: Pawel Fajdek and Wojciech Nowicki.
Paweł Fajdek holds the record at the Golęcin Stadium with a score of 82.82m. During his career he was a protégé of coach Czesław Cybulski. The five-time World Champion is representing AZS Poznan and his current coach is the legend of the Polish hammer, Szymon Ziółkowski.

Wojciech Nowicki triumphed in the hammer throw competition at Golęcin last year. The protégée of Joanna Fiodorow will defend the title of Olympic Champion at this year's Olympic Games in Paris.

Treadmill filled with Stars
The sprint competitions of the 2024 Czesław Cybulski Memorial promises to be interesting. Among the male and female athletes who will appear at Golęcin there is a lot of the hottest names of recent seasons.
Pia Skrzyszowska will once again perform at our Stadium. Pia had a great indoor season, in which she managed to win a bronze medal at the World Championships in the 60m hurdles in Glasgow. She also made a great entry into the summer season, taking third place in the prestigious Diamond League in Doha.

Natalia Kaczmarek in Poznan's Golęcin will test her form before the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris. The Olympic champion in the 4 × 400 meter mixed relay won Olympic qualification in the Bahamas in excellent style. Kaczmarek had a great showing at last year's World Championships, winning a silver medal in the 400m.

During this year's Memorial, we will also see on the treadmill another gold medalist of the 4 x 400 meter mixed relay from Tokyo, Justyna Święty-Ersetic. Belonging to the famous dream team of “Matusinski's Angels,” the Pole won qualification for the Olympic Games in Paris in the women's and mixed 4 x 400m relay at the World Relays in the Bahamas. She will compete at the Czesław Cybulski Memorial for the first time.
