On July 2, 2019 Golęcin came alive with athletic excitement anew and Poznań residents had the opportunity to watch the biggest names in Polish and world athletics. The stands were filled with about 2,500 people who wonderfully cheered on the athletes, who returned the favor with fantastic results.
The pool of winners was opened by Joanna Fiodorow, who in the hammer throw competition achieved a result of 74.46 m, and among the men the leading figure was Wojciech Nowicki with a result of 81.74 m thus achieving the best result in the world this season. There was also plenty of excitement in the men's shot put, during which Michal Haratyk outclassed other rivals with a score of 21.26m. In the long jump, the fierce competition among women was won by Adrianna Szóstak with a result of 6.23 m, jumping a centimeter further than Magdalena Żebrowska, thus setting her personal best. There was no shortage of excitement for the entire 3.5 hours!
